Calvary Bible Church

Leadership & Staff

Pastor Dom & Jen Aquilino

Senior Pastor

Pastor Dom joined the team at Calvary Bible Church in November of 2019. He graduated from Montana State University (1999—BA) and Capital Bible Seminary (2002—MDiv). Before being led to CBC, he served in churches in Missouri and in Michigan. Dom’s “unique” personality defies description, but his interests are easy to identify: He has a passion for expository preaching and an affinity for famous dead preachers. He also loves his wife (Jen), his children (Jonathan and Bethany), his dog (Bosco), and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Pastor Rob & Cindy Greene

Associate Pastor for Youth and Family

Pastor Rob joined the Calvary Bible Church Ministry team in October of 2007. He was saved at the age of 23 and soon felt God’s call to full time ministry. He attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA where he met his wife Cindy. While at BBC, Cindy obtained her degree in counseling. In 2001 Rob and his family moved to Oklahoma where he was a full time youth pastor for six years. He desires to see teens grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ so that they desire to live every day for him. His wife is very involved with him in ministry and raising their three children Rachel, Hannah, and Josiah.

Pastor Jason & Andrea White

Associate Pastor for Ministry Coordination

Pastor Jason joined the team here at Calvary Bible Church in May of 2023. He was born in Glens Falls, NY but raised in Bacon Hill, NY. There cows outnumber humans and it’s not far from the Saratoga Battlefield, that marks the turning point in the American Revolution. Jason trusted Jesus as his Savior at 11 years old. As a teen he was very involved in church and served several summers as a CEF summer missionary. God used this experience to arouse a love for ministry. Jason attended Lancaster Bible College to prepare for full time ministry and during that time he felt God’s call to pastoral ministry. At LBC Jason met Andrea and they were married in the spring of 2002. The Lord has blessed them with 6 sons, Samuel, Henry, Paul, Thomas, Benjamin, and Evan. Pastor Jason loves to help people find hope in Jesus and His word and work together for God’s glory. He enjoys road trips with his family, hotdogs with the works, and Louis L’ Amour westerns. Romans 15:13, 2 Corinthians 4:17 and Proverbs 14:4 are his “three strand rope” as he presses on to “lay hold of that for which also [he] was laid of by Christ Jesus.”

Hannah Greene

Director of Children's Ministry

Hannah Greene joined the team at Calvary Bible Church in July of 2023. She was born in Oklahoma but lived most of her life in Hanover, Pennsylvania, attending Calvary Bible Church. Hannah was saved at the age of 7. Growing up, Hannah had a heart for ministry and enjoyed being involved in church. She has enjoyed volunteering in various children’s ministries and sharing the good news of Jesus with others. Hannah received her Bachelors degree for Early Childhood Education and Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College. Her goal is to see children learn and grow in their relationship with God.

Dave (Charlene) Vandusen

Dave was born in Baltimore but grew up in rural Carroll County, Maryland. He graduated from Arlington Baptist School where he received Christ as his personal savior at the age of 10. For 37 years he worked as a Master Technician for Toyota. He joined Calvary’s church staff in May of 2022 as Facility Manager. Together Dave and his wife Charlene have four daughters and seven wonderful grandchildren. Their home is in Manchester, MD, just south of Codorus State Park. Charlene was a teacher in the Carroll County school system for 37 years, teaching American Sign Language at Westminster High School. They enjoy serving the Lord with the talents He has given them, giving all the glory to God.

Lisa (Kenny) Watson

Lisa accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age through her church’s AWANA Club in Westminster, MD. She met her husband, Kenny, at Liberty University where she studied Business Management. They were married in 2004 and have been a part of Calvary Bible Church since moving to Hanover in 2009. In addition to her current role in the church office, Lisa serves on the Ladies’ Ministry committee, in 3rd through 6th grade Kids’ Worship, in VBS and Kid’s Camp, and other areas of ministry within the church. Kenny serves in AWANA as the Games Director and as the CBC Church Treasurer, and assists with money counting. Prior to joining the staff at CBC, Lisa worked as the HR Director and Business Manager for a business in Taneytown, MD for almost nine years. Scott (Karla) Witmer

Elder Team President

Scott and Karla met in high school and were married in 1976. They have two children (Michelle and Christopher) and four grandchildren. Both were saved and baptized while living and working in southern Virginia in 1982. They moved to the Hanover area in 1984 and joined Calvary Bible Church in 1985. During their time at CBC, Scott has been involved in VBS, Adopt-A-Family, and Children’s Sunday School. Scott is also a member of the CBC Finance Committee. Karla has served in the Youth Ministry and is Scott’s Sunday School teaching partner.

Jack (Sharon) West

Elder Team Vice President

Jack and Sharon each accepted the Lord as their Savior as a child. They met at Bible College, were married a few years later, and will have been happily married for 20 years in 2025. Due to Jack’s job working for the government, they have lived all over the country having faithfully served in local churches. Over the years, Jack has taught children in Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, and he was blessed to lead a small congregation in the Over 60 Sunday School class at their last church in Florida. They moved to the Hanover area in late 2021 and joined Calvary Bible Church in 2022. Jack currently serves one month per quarter in the nursery. He feels one of his greatest gifts is encouraging others. Jack and Sharon are puppy raisers for Susquehanna Service Dogs, and you may see them with their puppy around the church.

Nate (Liz) Swanger

Elder Team Secretary

I have been attending Calvary Bible Church for 13 years along with my wife, Liz. We have two wonderful daughters, Elliot and Teagan. I was born and raised in Lebanon, PA, and received Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was 13. I was baptized at First Baptist Church that same year, and I wish I could say that was a wrap. I was not the most faithful servant. As I grew older, my faith never wavered, but my actions did not reflect my faith. I went to college at Millersville University to study secondary education, and while I received my degree, I was blessed by something better. It was here I met my wife and the turn-around began. For the last 15 years God has done a miraculous work in me and His mercy and grace continue to abound. I currently am employed as an account manager for Coca-Cola. In the church I serve as a youth leader for the teens under Pastor Rob and enjoy working with them to help grow their faith. My hobbies/interests include watching sports (football, baseball, and hockey), playing golf, music, and enjoying a good meal.

Chris (Jessica) Baeuerlein

Elder Team Member

After some rebellious teenage years, Chris “bottomed out” in drug rehab at the age of 19 and saw the emptiness of sin. By reading his Bible, he was struck by the demonstration of God’s love in providing a Savior in Jesus Christ to forgive his sins (Romans 5:8). He trusted in Christ and began growing in Jesus while at Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College), where he graduated in 2002. There he met Jessica and they married in 2005. Jessica grew up in a Christian home and trusted Christ at a young age. Chris and Jessica have been members of Calvary Bible Church since the early 2000s. They currently live in Spring Grove, where Chris works remotely for a medical journal publisher and where Jessica homeschools their four children (Isaiah, Sarah Grace, Benjamin, and Jedidiah). Chris is a member of the Men’s Ministry, enjoys singing in the choir, and he and Jessica coach the Awana quizzing team. He also plays in an adult soccer league in Lititz. Jessica loves to garden, cook, decorate, and create all types of art projects.

Greg (Marquette) Garvick

Elder Team Member

Greg and Marquette Garvick trusted Christ here at Calvary Bible Church, Marquette in July of 1986 and Greg in October 1986. They have both served in various ministries here at the Church. They have gone on short-term missions trips and went to Guatemala for 13 years helping at a children’s home. They were married in June 1978, have one son who is married, and one granddaughter. They both were born and raised in Hanover.

Mike Hokkanen

Elder Team Member

A 1949 native of Tacoma, Washington, Mike Hokkanen is well traveled. He has lived in Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, France, Germany and Pennsylvania.  A lover of languages, he studied French in elementary school, German in high school, and Russian in college and the United States Air Force where he served as a Russian interpreter. Of these, he keeps Russian as a “hobby”, losing most due to non-use. Mike made the most important decision of his life to become a follower of Jesus Christ in January of 1971. Seven months later he married his girlfriend, Mary Knapp, who had also accepted Christ. Together, they raised two girls and a boy and hosted exchange students from 10 different countries. The idea, in his words, was to share the love of Christ while enriching their own children with the culture of other nations. At CBC, Mike plays in the orchestra, attends two small groups, enjoys Precept Bible Study and Dead Preachers Society, helps with Ambassador planning, and assists Laura Sterner with children’s musicals.  Sadly, in January of 2025, Mary passed. While it was unexpected, Mike takes great comfort in the knowledge that she was in a right relationship with our all-loving Savior.  At age 76, it is Mike’s desire to stay busy with “things of God.” There is clearly no illusion about the glamor of being an elder. It is hard work that can be very difficult at times. Mike has a good sense of humor and has been described as “very approachable.”

Mike (Pat) Robinson

Elder Team Member

Mike came to know the Lord in his youth. Over the years, he has served as a teacher in Adult Sunday School, Children’s Church, Vacation Bible School, Men’s Group, AWANA, and Prayer Meeting. Mike and his wife, Pat, co-directed Children’s Church for 10 years at a previous church prior to moving to Hanover. He desires to humbly use his spiritual gifts to advance the global and local outreach of Calvary Bible Church, and to help encourage its leadership team.
